Abstract

Objective: To investigate the efficacy and value of comprehensive nursing care in the perioperative nursing of the patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH).

Methods: A total of 120 patients with the ONFH who were admitted to this hospital for treatment were divided randomly into two groups, the observation group and the control group, with 60 patients in each group. Conventional nursing care was given to patients in the control group, while comprehensive nursing care was given to those in the observation group. Thereafter, the hospitalization time, variations in the hip joint functions and life quality before and after nursing care, complications and satisfaction towards the nursing care.

Results: In both groups, the scores of hip joint functions and life quality increased, and the increases in the observation group were much more evident than those in the control group (P<0.05); in the observation group, the excellent rate of the hip joint function was 93.33%, significantly higher than the rate in the control group, i.e., 78.33% (P=0.039); for the incidence rate of complication, the observation group was 5.00%, significantly lower than that in the control group, i.e., 16.67% (P=0.046); in the observation group, the satisfaction rate was 95.00%, also significantly higher than that in the control group, i.e., 80.00% (P=0.027).

Conclusion: During the perioperative period of the patients with ONFH, comprehensive nursing care, with significant improvement in the nursing care, could effectively reduce the postoperative complications, promote the recovery of hip joint functions, and the life quality.
