Abstract

Introduction: To observe the clinical effect of Baixiao moxibustion nursing technique on limb rehabilitation and mental state of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.

Materials and methods: 60 patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage and limb hemiplegia who were hospitalized in the Department of Neurosurgery of our hospital from August 2017 to August 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into control group and study group, respectively. The routine group adopted routine nursing methods, including medication nursing, acupuncture therapy, rehabilitation nursing, psychological nursing, health education, traditional Chinese medicine diet nursing method, etc. The study group adopted Baixiao moxibustion nursing techniques on the basis of the control group. The Baixiao moxibustion tool used in this study is a new improved moxibustion therapy tool designed by industrial design method (National patent number: ZL2011 2 0322798.3). It has improved and innovated functions while retaining the essence of traditional moxibustion. Through the combination of aromatherapy, magnetic therapy, drug permeation and other treatment methods, this method can be applied on the corresponding acupuncture points of hemiplegic limbs, to achieve the effect of invigorating the spleen and tonifying the kidney, awakening the body, relaxing the tendon and clearing the collaterals, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain. The limb function, self-care ability, blood NSE and mental state of the two groups were evaluated and compared before and after treatment.

Results: Based on observation of the 1-month treatment cycle, the two nursing methods were effective in improving the patient’s limb function, self-care ability, blood NSE and mental state. There was no difference between the two groups before treatment in terms of muscle strength, Fugl-Meyer score, ADL score, blood NSE and mental state. After treatment, in comparison between the two groups, the study group had advantages over the control group in terms of improvement of muscle strength, Fugl-Meyer score, ADL score, blood NSE and mental state (list specific data).

Conclusion: Baixiao moxibustion nursing technique has a good intervention effect on patients with hemiplegia after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage, which can effectively improve the patient's limb function, enhance self-care ability, reduce blood NSE value, promote the physical and psychological rehabilitation of patients, shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce medical costs, and improve the mental state and satisfaction of patients and their families.
