Introduction: To observe the changes of CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ regulatory T cells and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels in peripheral blood of patients with recalcitrant granulomatous mastitis after laser ablation treatment, and to investigate the relationship between CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells and the prognosis of recalcitrant granulomatous mastitis.
Materials and methods: The CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ Treg cells and CD4+/CD8+ ratio in the peripheral blood of 58 patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma treated with laser ablation device were measured by flow cytometry before and after surgery, and theCEA values were measured by chemiluminescence.
Results: There was a correlation between CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ regulatory T cells and CEA levels in patients with primary liver cancer before surgery, while patients with normalizedCEA after surgery also showed a significant decrease in CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ regulatory T cells.
Conclusion: CD4+ CD25+ Foxp3+ regulatory T cell levels correlate significantly with changes inCEA during ablative treatment of recalcitrant granulomatous mastitis and may be an important predictor of prognosis in recalcitrant granulomatous mastitis.
