Abstract

Introduction: The aim of this study is to compare characteristics and mortality of patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), midly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), according to studies published in the last 5 years.

Materials and methods: Literature from PUBMED medical database (from 1 February 2017 up to March 2022) were searched for meta-analysis.

Results: Data from 4 studies involving 55.263 patients were pooled.

Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that more randomized and controlled trials are needed to provide evidence for prognosis of HF related to EF.
