Abstract

Introduction: To explore the intervention effect of high quality nursing mode on platelet donors.

Materials and methods: A total of 432 apheresis platelet donors in The Red Cross Central Blood Station of Lianyungang from January 2020 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into control group (n = 206) and intervention group (n = 226). The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) score, nursing satisfaction score, incidence of adverse reactions, and pain intensity suffered by the donors between the two groups were analyzed and compared, the willingness to donate again were also compared.

Result: The SAS score of the intervention group (36.27±3.64) was lower than that of the control group (40.15±4.78) (t=8.371, p<0.05); the nursing satisfaction score of the intervention group (96.34±4.65) was higher than that of the control group (80.37±4.26) (t=7.615, p<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the intervention group (3.54%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (13.11%); the degree of pain in the study group (1.24±0.31) was also significantly lower than that in the control group (4.36±1.06), and the rate of platelet donation in the intervention group (82.74%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (50.97%).

Conclusion: For platelet donors, providing high-quality nursing can effectively improve the anxiety, enhance the satisfaction to nurses, reduce the risk of adverse reactions, effectively reduce the degree of pain, and the willingness to donate platelets again is obvious. This nursing mode is worthy of promotion.
