Abstract

Introduction: To investigate the effect of homogeneous management on nurses’ diathesis and quality of nursing.

Materials and methods: Since January 2019, 20 nursing units were randomly selected from more than 102 nursing units in the medical district of our hospital, and 10 patients were randomly selected from each nursing unit by random number table method. The nursing department of the hospital organized training, strengthened homogeneity, regular supervision, continuous improvement of nursing quality and other measures to promote the homogeneity management of nursing quality. The differences of qualified rate of nursing quality and patients’ satisfaction before and after the homogeneous management were statistically analyzed.

Results: After the homogeneous management, the qualified rates of general ward management, disinfection and isolation, nursing documents writing and overall responsibility nursing in general departments were significantly higher than those before the homogeneous management (P<0.05, respectively). However, no difference was found in First-aid materials management before and after the homogeneous management (P>0.05). After the homogeneous management, the qualified rates of nursing quality in ICU and outpatient and emergency departments inside the special departments were significantly improved (P<0.05, respectively). After the homogeneous management, there was no statistical significance in qualified rates of nursing quality between hospital spot check and department three-level quality control (P>0.05). After the homogeneous management, the patients' satisfaction of nursing was significantly higher than that before the implementation of management, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion: Through the homogeneous management, the nursing managers and medical staff of each department expanded their professional vision, improved and enriched their specialized knowledge, enhanced their management awareness, solved the confusion in their daily work, and effectively improved the nursing level of the hospital
