A DISCUSSION ON THE NURSING EFFECT OF RUYI JINHUANG POWDER IN PREVENTING AND TREATING SUPERFICIAL PHLEBITIS

Objective: To explore the nursing effect of using Ruyi Jinhuang powder in preventing and treating phlebitis. 

Methods: 60 patients with phlebitis were randomly selected and included in the research scope. They were all admitted to our hospital for diagnosis and treatment from February 2017 to October 2018, and were randomly divided into groups according to the sequence of phlebitis. They were treated with Ruyi Jinhuang Powder (experimental group, n=30) and magnesium sulfate solution (control group, n=30) respectively, and the application effect was analyzed. 

Results: the experimental group was evaluated by six-degree phlebitis classification. 11 patients had 0 degree, 10 patients had I degree, 7 patients had II degree, 1 patient had III degree, 1 patient had IV degree and 0 patient had V degree. This was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of living quality in physiological, psychological, social and emotional dimensions in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the patients with ineffective treatment in the experimental group were significantly fewer than those in the control group (P<0.05). 

Conclusion: the application of Ruyi Jinhuang powder in prevention and care of patients with phlebitis was beneficial to improving symptoms of phlebitis, increasing patients' comfort and improving patients' living quality.
