Abstract

Objective: To explore the influence of SBAR communication training mode on junior nurse clinical thinking ability.

Methods: The subjects of this study are junior nurses registered in our hospital from March 2018 to March 2019. A total of 20 nurses were selected. The SBAR communication training mode was introduced to all junior nurses in the standardized training. Six months later, the junior nurses’ clinical thinking ability was evaluated and compared with their abilities before training.

Result: The critical thinking ability scores, evidence-based thinking ability and systematic thinking ability of junior nurses after training were (24.3±0.5), (28.9±0.5) and (46.8±0.4) respectively. The differences between before and after training were significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion: The SBAR communication training mode can effectively improve the clinical thinking ability of young nurses, and can be applied to their training.
