Abstract

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to investigate the changes and clinical significance of serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor and alkaline phosphatase in patients with amnesia mild cognitive impairment before and after treatment.

Materials and method: A total of 80 patients with amnesia mild cognitive impairment admitted were included case group. The 80 patients with normal cognitive function were selected as normal control group. After 6 months of electro-acupuncture treatment, case group was divided into effective group and ineffective group according to treatment effect. Serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor and alkaline phosphatase were compared.

Results: Levels of serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor and alkaline phosphatase in the case group were higher than those in the normal control group before treatment (all p<0.001). In the case group, levels of serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor, alkaline phosphatase after 6 months of treatment were lower than those before treatment (all p<0.001). After 6 months of treatment, levels of serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor, and alkaline phosphatase in the effective group were lower than those in the ineffective group (all p<0.001).

Conclusion: In conclusion, levels of serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor, and alkaline phosphatase in patients significantly increase, and the changes of the factors above are related to the therapeutic effect, which can help diagnosis and predict curative effect.
