Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze unsafe factors in nursing of senile femoral shaft fractures, and briefly discuss the targeted preventive measures.

Methods: 400 cases of senile femoral shaft fractures were selected as the subjects. All of them were treated in our hospital from June 2014 to August 2016. The patients were randomly divided into a study group and a reference group with the same case number in each. The reference group was given routine nursing care. On this basis, unsafe factors were analyzed for the study group with systematic, targeted preventive measures taken in nursing. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared.

Results: Through analysis, unsafe factors mainly involve two aspects of nursing staff and patients, including nursing staff’s lack of responsibility, lack of timely communication, defects in professional skill, and patients’ psychological problems and poor compliance with treatment. Compared with the reference group, the hospitalization time, hospitalization costs and drug cost of the study group were less than those of the reference group after different nursing measures were taken (P <0.05). Compared with the reference group, the incidence of complications in the study group was significantly less (P <0.05). In the investigation of satisfaction degree, satisfaction degree of the study group was higher than that of the reference group (P <0.05).

Conclusion: There are many unsafe factors in the treatment of senile femoral shaft fractures. After rigorous analysis of risk factors, taking positive and effective prevention strategies can significantly improve nursing efficiency and quality, improve patients’ quality of life and obtain universal satisfaction.
