Abstract

Aim: This study aims to observe and analyze effects of the clinical nursing path on treating patients with lumbar intervertebral disc.

Method: A total of 200 participants diagnosed with lumbar intervertebral disc were selected as the research subjects. All patients were randomly divided into a control group and a research group, with each group containing 100 patients. The control group was approached with conventional nursing methods, while the research group was approached with the clinical nursing path on the basis of conventional nursing methods. Finally, the nursing effects of both groups were observed and compared with each other.

Results: Results from comparing the overall effective rates of both groups showed that the research group performed better (P < 0.05). After comparing indices, such as the acquisition level of health knowledge, self-care ability, length of stay, and hospitalization expenses, the research group appeared to be better in all indices (P < 0.05). In terms of overall nursing satisfaction, the control group was significantly inferior to the research group (P < 0.05). Besides, the incidence of complications in the research group was lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05).

Conclusions: In nursing patients with lumbar intervertebral disc, application of the clinical nursing path exerted more ideal effects. This increased the overall nursing effect and provided better nursing services to the patients. Besides, it derived extensive satisfaction in the patients. Therefore, promoting this measure in clinical practice could be of high value.
