Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between plasma lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), macrophage inflammatory protein-1α (MIP-1α) and macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) levels and prognosis in patients with coronary heart disease.

Methods: 270 patients, admitted from March 2014 to March 2017, were divided into a normal group (n = 65), a single-vessel lesion group (n = 70), a double-vessel lesion group (n = 70) and a triple-vessel lesion group (n = 65). The Gensini score method was used to assess the condition of patients with coronary heart disease. Serum Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α and MIF levels were determined by enzy- me-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pearson’s correlation was used to analyse the correlation between the Gensini score and serum Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α and MIF levels in patients with coronary heart disease. Subsequently, multivariate logistic analysis was used to analyse risk factors for coronary atherosclerosis in coronary heart disease.

Results: Compared with the normal control group, the three lesion groups had higher plasma levels of Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α, MIF, TC, TG, LDL-C and CRP (P < 0.05) and lower levels of HDL-C and LVEF (P < 0.05). With the increase of the number of lesions, the levels of p-PLA2, MIP-1α, MIF, TC, TG, LDL-C and CRP increased significantly (P < 0.05), while the levels of HDL-C and LVEF decreased (P < 0.05); Pearson ́s univariate analysis showed that the Gensini score was negatively correlated with HDL-C (P < 0.05) and positively correlated with LDL-C, CRP, Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α and MIF (P < 0.05); Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the protective factor for coronary atherosclerosis was HDL-C, while risk factors were LDL-C, Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α and MIF.

Conclusion: Serum Lp-PLA2, MIP-1α and MIF levels are closely related to the prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease, which is important for the prognosis of coronary heart disease.
