Aim: This study aimed to evaluate nurses’ attitude of Ayatollah Rohani hospital, Babol from the patient's clinical records on the efficiency and quality of nursing services.
Matherials and methods: after reviewing the literature, a primary model was presented in the form of five factors influencing adoption of the system. Then, questionnaire consisted of 26 questions was designed based on these factors, and after making sure of the reliability and validity based on the judgment of experts and Cronbach's alpha coefficient, a questionnaire was distributed among 350 nurses of Ayatollah Rohani hospital, Babol in 2013 who were selected using randomized sampling. In order to test the model fit- ness and to investigate the relationships between variables, structural equation modeling was used using LISREL.
Results: obtained scores of nurses attitudes in four dimensions (time, exchange of information, the role of the nurse and the quality of services) bu using the independent two sample t-test and variance analysis (ANOVA) showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in none of the various levels of demographic variables such as gender, marital status, education, work experien- ce and sectors. In contrast, one-sample t-test results showed that the four dimensions average was more than 3 (P<0.05) and therefo- re, the nurses attitude to the mentioned four dimensions was acceptable.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the majority of nurses in this center believe that the clinical records of patients in hospitals reduce hospitals costs in addition to increase the quality of nursing care.
